Job Description:
A Development Operations Engineer works closely with developers, testers, and sysadmins to enable high-quality software development in an agile environment. Core Responsibilities
Create tools and release automation so that deployments are painless and require minimal intervention.
Collaborate with developers to refine build, test, and release practices across the organization.
Manage, document and enhance both automated and manual operational processes
Integrate and manage services to make our internal users more productive
Build a culture of customer satisfaction based on operational excellence, big picture understanding, continuous improvement, and proactive thinking
Designs and implements significant part of the system/service from end to end.
Resolves issues in production. 24/7 support in case of an emergency.
Prototypes new innovative solutions.
Help drive Architecture discussions amongst fellow architects, senior engineers in the team and across the company.
Required Experience:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math, or equivalent degree or experience
Passion for self-driven, continuous learning both in and out of office.
Excellent communication skills are required to be able to convey technical issues and details to non-technical users.
Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, C#, and/or Ansible. At least, one of script skill should be really good.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices (Octopus, Azure DevOps(VSTS), any Pipelines managed system)
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) software development, Git/GitHub, and related tools
Knowledge with Open Source technology that provides insight into service health (Sensu, Prometheus, etc.)
Experience with ELK stack (Kibana) plus.
Expertise in object-oriented software development.
Kubernetes experience a huge plus.
Required to work flexible hours to support US time zone and operation. Timeshift and On-call ?schedule will be in place.
Willing to work on a graveyard shift.
